Travel Advice

  • Visa: Required for most passports, visitors to Zambia are now able to apply electronically.
  • Single Entry, Double Entry and Multiple Entry visas are also available at the point of entry to Zambia (a Double/ Multiple Entry visa is required should you wish to see the Falls from the Zimbabwe side). Please check with your local embassy well in advance of your time of travel should you not apply online.
  • Weather: The winters are dry and warm to cool during the day but cold in the evening, spring is warm and cool in the evening, heating up to the summer where the temperatures remain hot throughout the day and night. The River Club is open year round. The Zambezi reaches its highest water levels during the months of March and April.
  • What to Pack: For summer months - light cotton trousers, cotton shorts and light cotton shirts (long and short sleeved); for winter months - a warm jacket or fleece for cooler evenings; comfortable walking shoes and sandals; sun hat; small torch; bathing suit; suntan lotion; sunglasses; camera (telephoto lens recommended); binoculars.

  • Disabled access: Two Luxury River Suites and the Luxury River Family Suite offer wheelchair access
